Submitters
Submitters are the origin point of data in the SkySync system. Their role is to observe and report environmental changes in real time, using tools they already carry—primarily, a smartphone. Submissions may reflect immediate atmospheric cues, localized discomfort, or short-term forecasts.
SkySync treats each submission as a discrete instance of environmental presence. It is not merely stored, but evaluated and, if validated, becomes part of the system’s collective archive.
Typical submission behaviors include:
Visual recording: Capturing sky state, light condition, or visibility with the camera
Text observations: Logging physical or sensory impressions (e.g., “air feels heavy”, “burnt smell”, “very dry”)
Micro-predictions: Short-range forecasting for the next 6–48 hours (e.g,. fog, wind, rain likelihood)
Submissions can include:
A photo showing cloud patterns, color distortion, or particulate haze
A brief descriptive sentence: “cooler than usual”, “acrid smell by the highway”, “air too still”
A timestamped forecast: “moderate rain expected overnight”, “likely dust event tomorrow afternoon”
What’s submitted isn’t just information. It’s a mark in time—something that was noticed, recorded, and passed forward. In this system, presence is not assumed. It is submitted.
